Quantitative research
Quantitative research is about asking people for their opinions in a structured way so that you can produce hard facts and statistics to guide you. To get reliable statistical results, it’s important to survey people in fairly large numbers and to make sure they are a representative sample of your target market.
Qualitative research
Qualitative Research (QRJ) is a bimonthly peer reviewed journal that publishes original research and review articles on the methodological diversity and multi-disciplinary focus of qualitative research.
Advantages of Qualitative Research
• Issues and subjects covered can be evaluated in depth and in detail.• Interviews are not limited to particular questions and can be redirected or guided by researchers in real time (instantaneous).
• The direction and framework of research can be revised quickly as soon as fresh information and findings emerge.
• The data in qualitative research depends on human experience and this is more compelling and powerful than data gathered through quantitative research.
Disadvantages of Qualitative
The quality of research is heavily dependent on the skills of the researcher and can be easily influenced by personal idiosyncrasies and biases of researchers.
• Rigidity is more difficult to assess, demonstrate and maintain.
• The quantity of data makes interpretation and analysis time-consuming.
• Qualitative research is sometimes not accepted and understood especially within scientific communities.

Individual or group
consumption?
I like individual consumption because you have privacy and
full control of what is going on. When you are listening to music on your own
and blocking everyone else out. Giving you time to yourself, but I prefer group
consumption because when I’m at home alone I get bored. For example when I’m at
home playing FIFA and I’m playing against the computer in a match I get bored
because the computer is not challenging enough and I feel like I’m playing a
ghost. But when on Fifa there is an online mode where you can play against
other people online making things more interesting for you. Gaming consoles are
made for multiplayer use and single but I prefer multiplayer.
There are many disadvantages and advantages of Group
consumptions:
Some advantages of Group consumptions is that you are not
alone because there is social media sites for example Twitter, Facebook and
Instagram. Group consumption helps people engage with other helping people who
seek partners online. Which is social interaction. Another one again is sense
of competition when you are playing a game console like, The Xbox One,
PlayStation 3 or 4 and Wii. And sharing your experience you can do this via Internet
or through taking pictures on your smartphone and show people you know.
Reasons Against group consumption are lack of control and
lack of privacy so you have to share control over what is going on for example if you and somebody else is listening to music and you like a song but the other does not you will have to settle for a different one but it is no the one you wanted which is a problem.
